I have been practicing physical therapy since 1969, and since 1989 have included myofascial release (Barnes method, that is, energy-based) as complementary to my treatments with each of my patients.
Primarily, I see patients with orthopedic problems, and specialize in seeing those patients who have been through traditional physical therapy and have not received the benefit or healing that they had hoped for. I'm known as the patron of "lost causes" clinically.
I practice holistically, and work closely with my patients and clients with supervised home programs, seeing them in my practice setting usually only once a week or once every other week. I currently practice in the Polestar Pilates center in Coral Gables, Florida at 1500 Monza Ave one or two days each week. But I schedule my own patients at the work number listed, which is my University phone. I am a Professor at the University of Miami doctoral program in physical therapy, and have taught here since 1987.
