I believe that every person, no matter what there current state health, can benefit from mind/body techniques. As a hospice nurse for the past two years, patients benefited from the use of guided imagery, breathing techniques and body awareness to assist them in their end of life needs.
My work currently includes a diverse population providing group and individual instruction. Restorative and therapeutic yoga is used with cancer patients and seniors. Restorative yoga workshops, fall prevention -integrative balance program for seniors, as well as mindfulness stress reduction techniques are some of the specific therapeutic modalities that are incorporated into my teaching.
