DSR Method Group Class

The Future of Rehabilitation Group Programming

Real health care reform must address the issue of affordability as an important aspect of accessibility to care.

The DSR Method includes not only the classic, relatively expensive delivery model of one-on-one care, but also directs that the future must include innovative group models of rehabilitation services. We are pleased to present the prototype for just such programming, DSR Method Group Classes, here at the DSR Clinic as designed by the Matthew J. Taylor Institute. Both clients and professionals will get value out of the classes which for self development and represent the next generation beyond yoga and fitness classes. Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the basic information and then call, 480-699-4867 or email classes@dsrclinic.com  to enroll in a class.  What are DSR Method Group Classes?

This new form of education is new, so comparisons are difficult. They are active group learning classes led by a DSR Method Certified professional. As such you will be safe, the atmosphere will be professional, and you will be receiving the best and newest information and skills for making positive health changes in your life. The classes are based on emerging change science and the two articles below address the science behind them for readers who want details.

Each class will have a theme, present educational content around that theme and then movement and skills to learn and then used during the following week. Think of it as a mini-seminar/workshop with some light simple yoga-like movement and a closing deep relaxation from the people that are out on the front edge of health and movement!

Click here for Social Connectivity and here for the healing potential for group classes.

Classes meet once per week. They last 75 minutes. There will be anywhere from 1-12 classmates.

Matt: Wednesday  10:15-11:30 a.m.     Meagen: Thursday  On Hold    Mary Ann:  Friday 9:15-10:30 a.m.

How is it different from other fitness-type classes?

It's like yoga, only easier and with more education.

It's like school only more fun, more practical and you don't sit still.

It's like a fitness class, only you also learn something new about yourself every class and take home something you can use in the week ahead.

It will change the way you live.

What do I bring to class, how do I behave, and what should I wear?

Please arrive 10 minutes early to set up, pay, etc. Arriving right on time is actually late : )

Wear light, loose modest clothing that allows you to easily bend and stretch.

Shoes go under the waiting room chairs as you enter to decrease clutter in the studio area.

Bring a mat of sufficient comfort for you on a wooden floor. If you have a belt and block please bring those along. We have blankets. The classes are not "sweaty" so water is optional based on your preference.

During class questions of the instructor are encouraged. Chatting is discouraged once class starts to promote attention and awareness in the classroom. Humor is an important part of learning and deadly seriousness is hard on your immune system. Smile lightly and remember to have fun.

Please avoid wearing strong perfumes or scents in consideration for others.

Light meals are fine before class but avoid eating a heavy, full meal.

Silence cell phones (NOT vibrate, NOT low volume please!). The instructors are merciless to violators! (not really but we have your attention now).
